Which witch?

Image
Bradford & Airedale cancer support in the pink lunch at the Midland hotel, Bradford. I get the pink stripes (cancer support), the witches' hats (halloween), but not sure where the spiders inside the hats come in.

Alice in Wateraidland

Yorkshire Water organised the Wateraid ball at the National Railway Museum, York.

Nothing as constant as change

Image
Another batch of promotions and changes in staff meant job title amendments to old photos as well as new staff to be photographed.

More balls

Photographed two charity balls last night. Photos are of the organising committee of each. The Leeds Mencap masquerade ball at the Metropole hotel and the Fall Ball in aid of Breast Cancer Haven at Elland Road, Leeds.

Before & after

An example of some editing done on one of yesterday's photos of Nick Clegg visiting Embrace. The lady on the right had "wandered" into the photo by mistake and I was asked to remove her. So I also took the opportunity to "clean up" the cars.

Nick Clegg DOESN'T have to announce a cut!

Image
Nick Clegg, deputy prime minister, for once not having to announce a cut. Instead some good news; the official opening of Embrace, the children's transport service. Mind you, what a difference a year makes; last time I photographed him at the Leeds & N Yorks chamber of commerce dinner, he arrived on his own and had time to chat to everyone. Now there's a trail of policemen arriving ahead of him, he arrives with several men with "bulging armpits" and he's whisked off without even having chance to have a butty! At least he got a cuppa.

Lemon aid

Keith Lemon and Christa Ackroyd were at the Annabelle Rose Trust ball at the Queen's hotel, Leeds last night to aid fundraising. www.annabellerosetrust.org

Another sad, but interesting, day

Image
The Carlsberg Leeds "Your day" event; probably the last time they'll run one before the brewery shuts next year. They've brought back the "Huntsman" logo and had a competition to design a commemorative logo, as well as a heritage trail around the Joshua Tetley brewery. A lot of history in that building!
