Phones

I've probably pulled out the remnants of my hair trying to figure out phone, phone companies and phone manufacturers.

Is it really asking too much that, when I buy a new phone, it simply works? Why do I have to spend hours trying to figure out settings, ringing "customer service" lines, trawling the internet etc. etc. to still end up with a phone that only partly works.
