A rare sighting!

Yesterday I photographed the High Sheriff of Yorkshire's annual summer garden party, attended by the Lord Lieutenant, several mayors and judges, and there was a rare sighting of Sir Ken Morrison. Saying that, I've actually photographed him several times recently.

Why is it that everyone knows that Nottingham has a sheriff and El Paso has a sheriff but no-one has ever heard of the Sheriff of Yorkshire? What does Sir Ken do with all his spare time these days?

Hmmm; bloomin yank time! T'was middle of the day when the posts were published.
Sir Ken is Bradford's hero! He took Morrisons from a local store to national prominence. Tho he still won't put his dosh behind Bradford City (boo!).

 Bradford festival choral society held a concert at the "spiritual home" of St. George's hall In Bradford, along with the Yorkshire symphony orchestra. Pieces performed included Zadok the priest and Mozart's requiem.
