Doncaster diva does Leeds
Lesley Garrett, the diva from Donny, sang and helped raise funds last night at the inaugural White Rose ball in aid of Childline, organised by the NSPCC.
Accountants' dinner
The Sheffield & district society of accountants held their annual dinner at Cutlers' hall. The guest speaker was Paul "the Sinnerman" Sinha (of ITV the Chase fame). VIPs included the ICAEW president, the deputy Lord-lieutenant, the High Sherriff, the master Cutler and several local ICAEW presidents.
