St. Luke's hospice, Sheffield, held a ceremony for long serving volunteers at Cutlers' hall. One lady had been volunteering for 45 years. Martyn Lewis (former BBC & ITV newsreader) presented the awards.
The Sheffield & district society of accountants held their annual dinner at Cutlers' hall. The guest speaker was Paul "the Sinnerman" Sinha (of ITV the Chase fame). VIPs included the ICAEW president, the deputy Lord-lieutenant, the High Sherriff, the master Cutler and several local ICAEW presidents.
Bradford festival choral society held a concert at the "spiritual home" of St. George's hall In Bradford, along with the Yorkshire symphony orchestra. Pieces performed included Zadok the priest and Mozart's requiem.
