It seems like an eternity since I last saw Christine Talbot with her Calendar partner in crime, Duncan Wood. Christine's first presenting engagement since her recent illness was the Yorkshire young achievers awards at Elland Road.

Sunny but cold

After the recent rains it was nice to see some sun today for a mainly outdoor job photographing a floor beam manufacturer. But I hadn't reckoned on how cold it was and needed frequet cups of tea to keep my hands warm!

Esther Rantzen at the NSPCC Newcastle branch yesterday, talking to volunteers and some school kids. Esther is so well known to us oldies, but I overheard one of the kids asking her teacher "who's that?" By the way, that's buddy the speech bubble, not an M&M!
